Michael Crichton’s original idea for Jurassic Park was to have a graduate student who recreates a dinosaur, but then he changed it to explore his fascination with dinosaurs and the process of cloning them.( “Michael Crichton” ) Crichton had a fascination with dinosaurs and he also said since genetic research is expensive in real life and there was “no pressing need to create a dinosaur” that it would surely be just a “desire to entertain” readers. He also had the book being narrated from the view of child at first but after editors who read over the unpublished book all of them said it would be better if it was told from an adult perspective. ( “Jurassic Park” ). Also even before the book was published Steven Spielberg already talked with Michael Crichton and had a 1.5 million dollar deal for the movies that would be made from the books ( “Jurassic Park” ). There wasn't really any extraordinary events or life changing events that made Crichton write Jurassic Park only his real fascination and curiosity about dinosaurs and genetic research that pushed him to write what he is passionate about it in his own life into books. As we see today Jurassic Park has grown into huge blockbuster franchise in books and in the movies that were created from the books and in 2015 the movie Jurassic World a blockbuster film reliving and recreating Jurassic Park but with modern technology and modern facilities.
